When you need a dessert (or breakfast topping!) that feels rich, warm, and indulgentâbut doesnât require a long time in the kitchenâBananas Foster is always the answer. This classic dish combines caramelized sugar, ripe bananas, and warm extracts to create a silky sauce that tastes like something youâd order at a restaurant, yet itâs incredibly simple to make at home.
Hereâs how I make mineâquick, easy, and loaded with flavor.
đ The Heart of the Dish: Caramel + Bananas
Bananas Foster is all about transforming simple ingredients into something beautifully comforting. When butter melts into brown sugar, it creates the base of a velvety caramel sauce. Add ripe bananas, a splash of pure vanilla, and rum extract, and you have a sweet, fragrant topping that pours beautifully over just about anything.
This recipe uses pantry staples, comes together in about 10 minutes, and fills your kitchen with the most irresistible aroma.
